In this festive comedy, twins Viola and Sebastian become separated when shipwrecked on the shores of Illyria. Viola, disguised as a boy, enters the service of Duke Orsino, who sends “him” with messages of love to the Countess Olivia, a widow in mourning. Olivia falls head over heels for Viola, aka Cesario, who falls for Orsino, who is already in love with Olivia. And that’s just the beginning! Using the Play On Shakespeare translation by Alison Carey (Director, American Revolutions), and performed in a virtual reading by Hero Theatre (complete with introductions by Hero Theatre Artistic Director, Elisa Bocanegra and Twelfth Night director Korey Jackson), Twelfth Night is a topsy-turvy love triangle full of music, hilarious misunderstanding, yellow stockings and more!

This reading is funded through the Hitz Foundation and is available for viewing September 3-October 2, 2020. Run time: 2 hours and 20 minutes
